At about 9 p.m. Thursday, the 25-year-old victim was found lying on the street in the first block of Regent Street near Alemany Boulevard, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His name was not yet being released this morning by the medical examiner's office.
