Bring it on!
The worries about traffic are putting the cart before the horse. Sears, Mervyns, ToysRUs all had plenty of traffic (until their ends). How many MUNI employees are using the parking lot now?
Putting more MUNI in the intersection is not a good idea until the details of BRT are disclosed. As it is this corner is served by the 38, 38L, 38X, 31BX and the 43. The 2 Clement is a couple of blocks away as is the 31.
IIRC, the Sears store opened in the late 1950s, not the early 1960s as Dan Noyes reported.

SO looking forward to their opening in the City. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the current Colma Target customers were from SF!
Hopefully this will create a lot of new jobs, too.

Gosh, it would be nice if Target opened in the city. It's just a shame that some of that money will go to the corporations political action committee, which just doled out$150,000 to a teabagging, anti-gay candidate for governor in their home state of Minnesota:
