It's a nice stunt, but the fact is people like me have offered solutions - he and his folks just don't want to listen.
Then again neither do progressives. I had an idea to increase Fast Pass sales a while back and no one would even consider it because it was "too simple."
WhatEVER....

Run Muni? Would they hire me? Um... probably not. The union would be crawling up my ass the second I get in the door.

But do they even *want* to sell Fast Passes?
I always bought mine at Montgomery station, along with a few hundred other folks (judging by the lines.) But they closed *both* the Fast Pass booths there and now everyone is stuck going to either Powell (ugh) or Embarcadero.
If they wanted people to pay for a Fast Pass, why would they make them so difficult to purchase?

I wish Muni did a subscription service. I forgot what agency did it, but they said pay for 11 months up front, and you'll get an extra month free.

I wish it was possible to buy Fast Passes online outside of that tiny 2-week window, or to add them to a Translink card without having to wait a week, or to see a map of nearby stores that sell passes. LE SIGH.

My fastpass shows up on my translink card on the first or second of the month like clockwork, and all I have to do is see the charge on my bank account.
