a while back there was an exhibit of the artwork made by the SF dump's artist in residence (no I did not make that up nor am I being a wiseass) and one of them were these amazing glass bowls made out of the broke Muni stop glass. They were amazing!

The first time I met Babe Scanlon, she was wearing a necklace made out of shelter glass. It, too, was GORGEOUS.
