The MTA has already demonstrated that actually enforcing rights of way helped speed up the 1-California (and presumably the J, since that was the other pick). The added revenue is a bonus.

Oh goody. Now could they go after those who run the light during rush hour at Folsom across 3rd?

Good.
It's not a "It would be nice if you let buses use this lane" lane - It's a god damn BUS LANE - how hard is that for people to understand?
If I had my way we'd close down every other street to private car traffic and leave it open for buses and cabs.

Getting busted for breaking the law doesn't qualify as a sting, especially when there are HUGE friggin' signs that say BUS LANE.
After he gets bored with enforcing that law, I hope he gets busy ticketing all of the cellphone scofflaws - NO EXCEPTIONS.

A sting would be more like if there was some random person standing there waving cars into the lane. This is more like regular ol' traffic enforcement.

Bus lanes are for busses ..
In London they have cameras that enforce them 24x7
People in cars that flout the law and/or ignore the signs should expect to pay a penalty ...
Bus lanes are for busses (!) ..

Yes, there's a motorcycle officer who stakes out the bus lane on Geary between Polk and Van Ness Ave.
