Willie Brown Wants The Niners To Hire Michael Vick, Says We'll Get Over It

I'm starting a slow clap for this at my cubicle. Michael Vick is an embarrassment to humanity.

I think Willie's ramblings in the Chron are primarily for his own amusement. He's trying to pass himself off as some Wise Elder Statesman, but he has never given a damn about anything but enriching himself and his friends on the public dime. We had boom times in the 90s here, and he squandered the cash and the opportunities that came with all of that to ensure he added lots of do nothing City hall jobs for his friends, and made sure that the developers that lined his pockets got the goods. He can STFU for all I care.

The thought of Michael Vick joining the 49ers makes me throw-up a little in my mouth.

Vick would be a terrible choice. Not just because he's a felon and cruel to animals, but also because the Niners are asking the public to buy them a football stadium. If that is the case, they need to be sensitive to the feelings of people here in the Bay Area (who will likely detest Vick, with good reason). Second Dewar--Willie needs to SFTU.

What price, glory?

"YOU" people needs to give it a rest. You call yourselves so high and mighty, but there is only ONE God. I have a few questions for you "Perfect" people.

- You have sexual predators in your neighborhoods - who's worse?

- Would you save a stranger if it meant losing your dogs?

- Would you give up your dogs if it would save 1 Haiti victim?

Now, if you choose your dogs over human life, you are no better or worse than the man you are condemning for an eternity.

First of all, Mike Vick has options and San Francisco is not one that he would seriously consider anyway. Why would he go from Philly, a consistent winner, to the PATHETIC loser that you city is?

So the next time you look down to someone, take a long hard look at your soul.

Hiring Vick would be a horrid decision!

To: BlueEyedDevils...your attitude is one of the main reasons our society has gone to shit. You clearly do not understand the objective of this article, as seen by your "survey questions". Please try to look at this from our vantage point. In your comment, you mentioned that sex offenders live in our neighborhoods - true. But, there are numerous websites that can be accessed by anyone divulging their name, residence, crime, etc. Therefore they become less of a threat. I would be much more frightened to have someone like Michael Vick living in my neighborhood than a sex offender.

P.S. I really hope you don't have an animal that depends on you, loves you and cares for you. Animals are pure love in this dreadful society - embrace them, ok?

Anybody who is getting self-righteous about Michael Vick but still eats animals from factory farms needs to tone down the hypocrisy.
