Sean Elsbernd never cared about Muni in his entire career as a supervisor. So why should we take him seriously now?
He's always voted with Gavin on looting Muni for other departments, and when people in his district wrote to him to ask him to veto the Muni budget to force the MTA to work harder, he blew 'em off. Now he's got a showboaty thing that doesn't address Muni as a whole - he's doing something to make himself seem "fiscally responsible" to the public, when in fact his measure never addresses excessive executive pay, or the pay of any other group of employee. And he'll ensure a strike at some point.
I'm no fan of TWU by any means, and have the record to prove it, but Elsbernd is as full of crap as they are.
