Was on the train this morning. Not MUNI's fault this time! Train had the right of way and the car that hit the train didn't stop at his stop sign before trying to "make it in front of the train." Several MUNI passengers saw this happen. The train was well in to the intersection.
Guy was pretty shaken up but looked to be in good condition. Saw him talking and moving so all hopes and best wishes that he'll be in good health. Emergency services arrived quickly and started to take control of the situation.
Don't think anyone on board MUNI was hurt. Cars cleared out pretty quickly and most people walked to 24th street BART to get in to work.
Car was a mess... hardly looked like the MUNI car was scratched! DON'T TRY TO OUTRUN A MUNI CAR! I know it's annoying to be behind one but consider safety and just be annoyed you have to wait for a good opportunity to go around it.
This guy tried to beat the MUNI car in to the intersection and paid for it. Lucky for him it will only be with his car and not at the expense of anyone lives.
