I attempted to make the edible chocolate dessert bowls. I followed the directions, and after dipping the balloons into the melted chocolate, which I DID cool down a bit first, the balloons burst, flinging melted chocolate all over me AND the kitchen!! What a mess!!! If I wait longer for the chocolate to cool, it will begin to thicken, & the dipping process will not be smooth. Help! What am I doing wrong? I even bought more expensive balloons. Did anyone else have this problem?

Hi semaj- sorry to hear about your exploding balloons! sounds like the balloons that you used are too thin and therefore, burst when they touch the chocolate. Sometimes you have to try a few kinds to find the ones that are strong enough to take the heat! Good luck!
