I wouldn't say it's anywhere close enough to say that iPhones predominate to the point of being considered default. Android-based phones are pretty widespread from what I see and given the large number of tech workers and Googlers who were given phones that further increases the ecosystem.
It's less of a monopoly and more of an Sharks v. Jets rumble brewing.
