I used to suffer from extreme pre-emptive depression, which meant I got depressed about the end of the weekend by Friday night.

according to just about every scientist and expert of the early 20th century, "automation" was going to make it so that you'd only have to work 2-3 days a week, but get paid the same as if you worked 5 because those newfangled machines would make life easier.
instead, thanks to the internet, phones, and laptops and whatnots, bosses feel like you can work all the time anywhere.
