Is a "dating instructor" a real thing? I would not be surprised if it is...
I've dated a lot in SF (as a straight male) but I can only partially agree with your prognosis. First off, are you talking about fucking strangers or finding a person to date? Stranger-fucking is an activity best suited to the Mission where, in fact, you will find little else. But venture out a bit and you'll find a city full of single women hanging out, looking bored, waiting for my half-drunk self to come say hello!
Yes, it is true many women will not be interested, or just uninteresting themselves, but isn't the search part of the fun?

Be nice. Most comments on SFWeakly are nasty. SF has such an obsession with dating and relationships. Who was it that asked "Can't we all just get along?" Oh, yeah, Rodney, trying to avoid dates with the slammer.

This is the greatest thing I have read all day, all 50 minutes of it, and probably most of yesterday too. Reading that SFWeekly article made me feel uncomfortable.

Every city seems to get the blame for the poor dating habits of recent arrivals.

Thank you for speaking the truth.
As a man living in Denver we have 10 men for every women. And every woman wants "love". Come to think of it, no one new ever moves here and I can't wait to leave.
Women need to stop demanding and start trying. Really, I just want to get laid. If the sex is great, maybe we can start dating.... what's wrong with women? Where's your sexual revolution and free love?
