Believe that the regular fare for the CB is up to $10 these days.
Service was cut back 66% in Jan. and the price increased 42% from $7 on July 1.
Still, CB is having some of their best days, Tut-related prob.

Jim, you believe incorrectly. The fare is $7, and did not go up on July 1. We confirmed this with MTA before we planned this event.

Oh 74X-Culture Bus, we hardly knew you. $10? Seriously?
So, years from now when we look back at the 74X, like when someone sees and old map and asks about defunct like, I suggest we make up crazy stories, such as: when someone asks why anyone would pay $10 instead of taking the N-Judah we tell them, "It actually was a deal since you got unlimited well drinks." or "There was a miscommunication when some NBC show rented them as props, the explosions were so big they were heard in Berkeley." or "I saw Arcade Fire play there once and it was awesome!" or... you get the idea.

And $5 with a fucking fastpass!
You'd think with the increase in the cost of a fastpass, they would have finally
included rides on the Culture Bus (never understood free rides on the
cable cars, but $3 and now $5 for the 74x) even if only so they could
have a few riders each day.
The first time I encountered it was after Hardly Strictly Bluegrass almost a year ago.
There was a huge line of people waiting for a bus at Lincoln & 9th. It pulled
up empty as usual. People began getting on until they were told what it cost.
I never saw anyone try and get on it again. It should have been killed back then. Perhaps a bus some people actually ride like the 26 could have been saved.

but I probably didn't tag all of them)
Even if you can't bring yourself to pay for a ride, the Jug Band Fest is happening at
the bandshell on Saturday (and it is free)
