btw, the book is great (my favorite michael chabon novel, and one of my favorite books in general) and, from what i can tell from the trailer, the movie completely warped the plotline. blah.

I heard it's very different. Like a whole character is taken out. Or something. The movie's pretty useless, honestly, but then again I just had three beers and it's 2:35 and I'm at my desk.
Should I check the book out? I generally avoid books that are recommended to me. Some kind of fuck all rule I guess I just made up.
