Woman Hit By Garbage Truck While Crossing Street This Morning
A woman in her 30s was hit by a garbage truck while walking across the street in San Francisco this morning, police said.
The woman was hit while walking in a crosswalk across Presidio Avenue at Pine Street in the Laurel Heights area at about 8:05 a.m., police spokesman Officer Samson Chan said.
The truck had been turning onto Presidio Avenue from Pine Street when the accident happened.
The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Chan said.
The truck driver stopped and cooperated with police, Chan said.
