How many gay bars are even on 16th St? Only one I can think of is Esta Noche.

Why were they released on bail? Shooting 11 guys means they won't stop now.

You're right, they were, initially, out on bail, but the courts upped their bail to $450K each and at the moment they're back in custody.

Wonder which upstanding conservative legal group will take up their defense pro-bono under the guise of "religious freedom to attack gays."
Surely it could be packaged even as a "defense of marriage."

Would they have been released on bail if they were white rednecks? I'm glad they are still locked up but somehow I bet ACLU comes to their defense.

Hey Xenu, are gays not allowed in "straight bars"? Maybe it's news to you, but we go to "normal people" bars, too. Sometimes, we don't even wear our nametags idenifying ourselves as homos! And then we use the same bathroom as you! Eek!

I'm thinking the majority of people shot were straight, if the gunmen were hanging out on 16th Street and Guerrero. Most of those people are wanna be's who only look gay. So, you know, nuff said.

Dude, do you really think these guys have a good "gay-dar"? If they're going to go shooting up people they think are gay, they should really do their homework first and pick easy targets, it's common sense. But they obviously didn't do their homework, and they obviously don't have any common sense.

What about Muslim's freedom of religion to shoot gays and kill non-belivers?

I find it utterly stunning that so many straight people in SF still think all the gay people are in one place. Yeah, percentagewise there are areas, but Mission and Bernal have really big gay populations (as compared to, say, the Marina). So no, I don't think they have good gaydar, but I also think none of you do, either. Do you expect the boys to be flouncing, and the girls to be wearing combat boots? The newcomers to SF on SF blogs remind me that this town has a revolving door of cluelessness.

Once again, the religion of "peace" rears its ugly head.
