Michael Trucco played Sam Anders on Battlestar Galactica. And he's a local boy, I think.

Sarah Shahi was on the L word I think and she's hot. odd way to advertise a show about a lawyer btw.

ooh ooh! I know I know! Pick me!

Sarah Shahi is a) super fabulous gorgeous and b) was the co star of "life" with Damian Lewis and....Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Mrs. N was actually a co star. It was canceled abruptly by the bean counters at NBC for......wait for it...Trauma.

And yes, Trucco is a local. He grew up in San Mateo, his dad was an SFPD cop, and he went to Serra High School and Santa Clara U. His brother in law teaches at Crystal Springs Uplands school on the Peninsula, where he appeared before a class dedicated to studying Battlestar Galactica.

One thing to note - this pilot is being shot for USA Networks. TV programs on networks like USA generally do not have the budgets of their broadcast network counterparts, so it's likely this will be another "Monk" - They'll shoot a pilot with a lot of scenes and swoopy overhead camera shots, but if it gets picked up, it'll be mostly shot in LA, where there are soundstages and lots of cheap easy places to film. No amount of tax credits can overcome that.

It's interesting that Ms. Shahi would be considered for the lead role on a USA network show, which prides itself on building shows around one main character that's got some sort of quirk, and a sidekick (usually). Depending how they write it it could be interesting.

Then again, I'd watch a tv show where Sarah reads the phone book, or, say blogs about Muni, and I'd be fine with that.

I just wish it was a show about a woman who quits being a lawyer to become a doctor who solves crimes.
